When you have consistent thoughts and consistent positive thoughts, you train your mind and your brain to see that the possibilities are possible.
When I was growing up, I was a musical prodigy. I played the cello and part of the musical prodigy training was to perform and compete all the time.
My one last thought is: consistency is key.
I remember after one very bad performance, my teacher came and he said, You know Biana I'm going to teach you the three most important words in music.
Successful habits create successful outcomes and it allows you to be the best version of yourself.
He said, I know that you know the first word, which is practice because you've been doing it for so long now, but the other two you still haven't mastered it as of yet and they are patience and perseverance.
The second part is consistent routine, it's important to focus on our everyday disciplines, and when we do that, or consistent about that, it creates habits.
Let's say you are very good at practicing like I was, and you have no patience with yourself, you have no patience with others. Well, that impatience will eventually hinder your practice because your emotions will start to interfere with your practice. So, you have to bring patients all the time to your practice.
So, when you give consistent effort on a daily basis, you get opportunities for that, you know, your efforts, get rewarded, and from the opportunities give you opportunities.
And let's say that you are patient and you're very good at practicing, but your ability to persevere is swayed by the feedback from others. Then all the patience and all the practice that you put into it, it doesn't really matter because you're not consistently making an effort to reach your goal, but you're trying and you're stopping. You're trying and you stop.
Consistency is key. When you give consistent effort, you build trust. You build self-trust because you show yourself that hey, you are capable of achieving great things.
Was a patient with myself? Was a patient with others? Was a patient with the circumstance that was happening while I was practicing?
Consistent routines are important. Working on everyday disciplines to be the best you can be. And you see that the possibilities are possible.
And when you think about life, when you think about your career, when you think about relationships, you really need to have a balance of all these three words being present in your life all the time. Stay curious and always ask: have I taken the time to practice my craft today? And what kind of mindset have a brought to that?
Regardless of where you're from, regardless of what you're gonna do, regardless of anything that could have been setbacks in your life, which end up being excuses, you look over those things and you just get it done.
Stay connected to that original thought, that original seed because it will enable you to find that inner resource that will support your perseverance and guide you to ultimately do what you deeply know that you can do the best.
Go get it.
